Doll Hair

There is a large selection of materials to make doll hair from. Yarn is the most common and comes in so many colors and textures. You can buy yarn in wool, cotton, polyester, and other blends. Embroidery floss is popular for use on small dolls and it, too, has a vast array of colors to choose from.


Pulled wool is great to use for Santa beards, sheep, and felted doll hair.

Many doll makers boldly use different colors outside of the normal red & burgundy tones for hair. Orange is fun to use on fall dolls & green for witch dolls.
